What's New?

It's been awhile since I've written so I thought I would post again.

Not much has been going on- my summer's just been filled with relaxing, hanging out with friends, and (sort of) getting ready to go abroad. I now have my flight to NYC JFK which unfortunately leaves Minneapolis at 6AM. Today I bought my new luggage, which, coincidentally, is SwissGear brand. What can I say, it was a good deal! I bought two bags- one carryon and a giant bag to check. My mom has a suitcase that is slightly smaller than my biggest one, and I plan to pack one inside of the other so I have an extra bag when I head home in a year. With all of the things I will probably accumulate, I'll need it. Today I did a sort of packing simulation; that is, I packed the amount of things I think I will need to see if they would fit. And they did, just barely. This way I can buy new clothes knowing that I will actually have room to bring them. My biggest bag weighed 46 pounds, which is over the AFS weight limit of 44 but under the actual airlines' limits of 50. I think I'll stick with the airlines' limits, since AFS just places those regulations because they're the strictest of any worldwide airline.

And those are basically the highlights of my life right now. I'm just going to try, for the next 45 days, to enjoy my life here in Minneapolis (and not stress too much over preparations.) And then I'll be on a plane across the Atlantic heading towards... adventure? Woo Hoooo
